Topic: Adsense Optimization

There are many optimization techniques available for adsense. You can optimize the colour, placement of the ad, You can create your website based on a good Niche which has good click through rate etc. What is your favorite optimization technique

Re: Adsense Optimization

Each and every site will have different locations within their pages that perform better than others. What you must do constantly is to:

   1. Place Ad
   2. Test/Track Ad (Using channels)
   3. Change
   4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 over and over

This simple optimization technique is very simple but yet not carried out by all webmasters. Badly placed advertisements will yield very low Click Through Rates (CTR). Just think about it. You have a site with great content, good traffic but a CTR of 1%. With optimization you could increase the CTR to 3~5% which would mean a 3~5 fold increase in your revenue.

Re: Adsense Optimization

Hi,

I have a question.

I'm using v6.

I noticed the AdSense are displayed with the colors I chose, but with with different Font sizes.

For examples, the ads under the header/links are very small!

Is there anything I can do to display them with a bigger Font size?

Thanks.

Bye.

Re: Adsense Optimization

Hi, what's the site URL? I could take a look and see what's the problem.

Re: Adsense Optimization

Hi,

I noticed only now that the newsletter popup doesn't close using firefox (3.0.13) with linux (ubuntu 9.04), up to now I was only using the latest firefox with Windows XP SP3 to see my website...

I haven't written my website, because I experienced that when the ads are only a few they are displayed with a big font, when they are more (with the little arrows to move through) only in the ad unit under the title and links they are displayed with a very small font, so in the first case you could see them normally...

You can have a look at my website: http://offertedilavoro.offertedilavorointernet.info, remembering what I mentioned above.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Matteo

Re: Adsense Optimization

Hi Matteo

I see what you mean. Right now, it's automatic. It shows however many ads it wants based on the space that's there. You can actually adjust your Google Adsense easily by going to index.php and going to the adsense block. And simply copy and paste your own custom Google Adsense block there from your adsense setup on your google adsense account.

Then you can have it looking any way you like.

Thanks
Scott

Re: Adsense Optimization

Hi,

I tried that solution before and nothing was displayed...

I'll try again.

Thanks.
